AS 5810 means that your bag is not just biodegradable, but is also compostable. This means that your bag will break down in home compost systems and in landfill.
Your bags are made from plant based materials which naturally decompose in a worm farm, compost bin or bokashi system, and will be 90% decomposed within 180 days of being added to your compost bin. Compare this to biodegradable plastics, which can take many years to break down, and still leave behind toxic residue.
